Technology we offer

The following technologies are protected by patents or other types of industrial protection. The IPNA is open to proposals from companies wishing to develop new commercial applications of these technologies, through granting them exploitation licences. It is similarly interested in their joint development with industrial partners and also in setting up new technology-based companies.

This technology on offer is therefore aimed not only at established firms and investors, but also at new start-up enterprises and existing technological institutes interested in developing such technical advances into new applications with market potential.

Vitamin derivative for the control of the Huanglongbing psyllids vectors (HLB)

The Spanish Research Council (CSIC) has developed a compound for biostimulation of the natural defence mechanisms of plants. In particular, this compound has been particularly effective in controlling the insects Trioza erytreae and Diapharoina citri, vectors of the bacterium Candidatus liberibacter that causes Huanglongbing disease (HLB). This is considered the most destructive disease that currently affects citrus crops worldwide. Partners are being sought to exploit the existing know-how.

Formulations for improving agricultural production in drought conditions

The IPNA-CSIC has developed a series of formulations based on organic molecules that improve the tolerance of plants under severe conditions of drought and high salinity of the environment. This is a severe problem in agricultural production, resulting in large economic losses. Its origin lies mainly in the desertification of the environment due to climate change, or irrigation with low quality water with high salt content.
