Development of advanced therapeutic platforms

This line of research aims to explore the convergence between nanotechnology and antimicrobial peptides with antimicrobial and antitumor applications. Nanotechnology provides precise tools to enhance the antimicrobial activity of peptides and reduce the amount required for effective treatment. Our approach is to develop environmentally friendly delivery systems, such as chitosan nanoparticles or green synthesis of metal nanoparticles. These systems can reduce the amount of peptide required for effective treatment, provide stability and improve bioavailability. The research opens up new possibilities for the development of novel therapies in the treatment of antimicrobial and antitumor diseases.
