Eduardo Jiménez García is a biologist and predoctoral research assistant interested in the ecology and evolution of arthropods on oceanic islands. His PhD thesis is focused on coleopteran diversity in the laurel forests of the Canary Islands, using molecular tools such as barcoding, metabarcoding and mitogenome sequencing to study patterns of genetic structuring and community assembly.
