Carmen Balibrea Escobar is graduated in Biology. At IPNA-CSIC she works as a Research Technician in the Island Ecology and Evolution Group (IEEG), where she has a multidisciplinary profile. She works in different research areas focused on the study of ecological processes related to speciation, trophic and mutualistic interactions, the ecological and evolutionary consequences of the introduction of exotic species, and the consequences of climatic variation within a spatial and temporal framework on flora and terrestrial entomofauna. Currently, she collaborates on various projects in which she carries out fieldwork, molecular laboratory work, and technical and management tasks of the group laboratories and resources.
