Resolution of the CSIC-Canarias and CSIC-Obra Social La Caixa 2018 Awards (ACIISI-CSIC) (ACIISI-CSIC)

The CSIC aims to increase the interest in Science of young people and to help their creativity and scientific preparation. In addition, with this call for CSIC-CANARIAS awards, this entity also seeks to encourage the knowledge of the research carried out in the Islands.

The CSIC-CANARIAS award is dedicated to ESO and Baccalaureate students, as well as to the centers where they carry out their studies. On the other hand, "Obra Social La Caixa" and the CSIC would like to encourage the scientific and technological interest of the society and their capacity for innovation.

Given the essential role played by the media in the dissemination of Science, it is necessary to prepare professionals with training in Communication Sciences and Techniques which can transmit to the public the impact of scientific and technological discoveries. "Obra Social La Caixa" and IPNA-CSIC offer the CSIC-Obra Social la Caixa Awards for students of the Journalism degree who study and reside in the Canary Islands.
