The Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology (IPNA-CSIC) collaborates with the Regional Health Authorities by donating protective material for health personnel.

The Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology of the CSIC in the Canary Islands is collaborating with the Department of Health of the Canary Islands Government in the eradication of COVID-19 by donating medical material for the protection of professionals working in the islands' hospitals.

The material collected by the centre's various research groups includes 1,800 nitrile gloves, 1,100 latex gloves, 75 surgical masks, protective goggles, ethyl alcohol, waterproof containers for infectious material and plastic bottles with safety latches. This material was delivered today to the warehouses of the regional health department in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

With this action, the Institute of Natural Products and Agrobiology of the CSIC joins efforts with the University of La Laguna and the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, as well as other institutions and companies in the Canary Islands for the containment and eradication of this pandemic.
