The Vice President of Research, Science and Technology of the CSIC

The Vice President of Research, Science and Technology of the CSIC, Jesús Marco de Lucas, and the director of the PNA, Manuel Nogales, visited today the ITER facilities, dependent on the Cabildo de Tenerife. 

Both toured the facilities located in the south of Tenerife, where they were welcomed by the Councillor of Innovation, Antonio Marichal and the Director of ITER, Manuel Cendagorta. 

The Vice-President of the CSIC highlighted the potential of the ITER infrastructures, and in particular the Teide-HPC supercomputer, currently the second most powerful in Spain.

Both entities expressed their interest in seeking ways to collaborate in order to exploit this resource by making it accessible to Council researchers.
