Almudena Castro is a project-based research intern with a degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Biodiversity, Conservation and Evolution. She has specialized in Biodiversity and Fauna Conservation, with a special interest in species conservation and behaviour. The main objective of her project is to investigate the most effective methods for the control and elimination of some invasive exotic plant species found on the island. This project is being carried out with the collaboration of the Cabildo Insular de Tenerife. She also collaborates in projects related to the management of invasive alien species within the Island Ecology and Evolution group.
